National Finals SHF
For 25 years, Uzès has been organizing the Endurance Young Horse Finals under the auspices of the French Equine Society (SHF). More than 700 horses compete every year on the slopes of the National Stud of Uzès.
The circuit young endurance horses is:
– 103 competitions organized throughout France
– 2,121 horses
– 5,550 commitments
The young horse circuit is composed of regional and inter-regional races, and the final is open to horses of 4, 5 & 6 years, each category having its own final.
the good and beautiful contest
The Arab Horse Association (ACA) wanted to make “Good and Beautiful” an event, and the choice to organize it together with the Great Week of Uzès is not trivial. Indeed, the first global endurance meet with 700 horses entered, this SHF Finale has a strong economic impact since it attracts buyers from around the world. Allowing qualified horses to obtain a label on such an event therefore seems sensible in terms of visibility and trade.
Nowadays, the purebred Arab shines in two areas of predilection: endurance and show. If show side characteristics of the Arab type are pushed to the extreme, sport side can regret that the performance takes precedence over the look. And it is in this context that the ACA concept “Good and Beautiful” makes perfect sense.
The ACA, a breeding body, puts in place a breeding policy that encourages the production of purebred Arabian originals! Horses both typed and capable of athletic performance. Thanks to the “Good and Beautiful” contest, the ACA will be able to encourage the breeders and owners by labeling and promoting their young Arab horses.
The entrance to the big week of Uzès is free and free to the general public.
The Great Week of Uzès is organized jointly by the Equine Society of Uzès and the National Stud of Uzès
The Equine Society of Uzès (SHU) is an association under the 1901 law.
Its purpose is to organize equestrian events and competitions (dressage, competition clubs, jumping competitions, endurance races) and to promote the horse.
Based at the national stud farm of Uzès, she has always worked in close collaboration with him. Its steering committee is composed of a president Antonio Nogueira, a vice-president Louis Basty, a secretary Robert Cristofoli, a vice-secretary Laure Cristofoli, a treasurer Serge Guiraud and a vice-treasurer Bénédicte Soullier. In addition to this steering committee, it has some thirty members.
During big events, the SHU has no less than 80 volunteers who help to organize these events. This association is particularly devoted to the organization of the National Finals of Endurance Young Horses SHF (Société Hippique Française), its flagship event.
HUS is also working in close collaboration with the Community of Communes of Uzège and the city of Uzès in order to permanently and optimally develop the tracks of the SHF Young Horse Finals. She is also at the origin of the organization of several CSOs in the year.
The stud farm of Uzès is one of the sites of the National Stud.
Following the general reform of public policies, the National Studs merged in February 2010 with the National Riding School of Saumur to form a joint entity, the French Institute of Horse and Equitation (IFCE).
Like the other national stud farms, the Haras d’Uzès aims to support the development and professionalization of companies in the horse industry. The stud farm of Uzès is therefore the place of many events (nearly 60 days a year) because the site lends itself to all the activities that can offer horse riding (breeding, horse show, horse ball, endurance, show …).
